Registration of Vehicles
All vehicles parked on campus must be registered with the SHC Department of Public Safety and should display the proper decal (hangtag for Faculty/Staff). In the event that an unregistered vehicle is seen consistently on campus, Public Safety will make every possible attempt to locate the owner of the vehicle and notify them that compliance is necessary. If the owner cannot be found, the vehicle is subject to being towed off of campus at the owner’s expense.
Driver should register their vehicle in the following manner:

• Enter your last name and your student ID #
• Choose the appropriate registration type
• Fill in the requested information and submit
Your fee will be charged to your student account and you should pick up your decal in the Public Safety Office. Decals not picked up will be sent through the school mail.
Waiver of Fee: Fee will be waived for students with an SHC Vanity License Plate on their car. To show proof once you’ve completed your vehicle registration E-MAIL a Photo of your Vanity Plate along with your Name, and Student ID Number to dept.publicsafety@shc.edu, to have the fee waived at the time your permit is issued.
Residential students will be issued a Residential Parking Permit and are allowed to park in the Residence Hall parking lots.
Commuter students will be issued a Commuter Parking Permit and are allowed to park in the appropriate lots. Parking in other areas will result in a parking citation.
