Mobile, Ala.— Spring Hill College is proud to announce the launch of four new academic programs that reflect the evolving landscape of today’s workforce. Launching in Fall 2025, the College will offer majors and minors in AI and Data Science, Strategic Communication, and a major in Social Influence and Digital Communication. A new major in Exercise Science will follow in Fall 2026.
The AI and Data Science program integrates mathematics, computer science, and applied data science, building a strong foundation in programming, statistical analysis, machine learning and data visualization. With these tools, students will be prepared to analyze and interpret complex datasets, develop data-driven solutions and communicate their findings clearly and effectively. The program equips graduates for careers in technology, finance, healthcare and other data-intensive sectors, as well as graduate and professional studies or research
Strategic Communication prepares students to become professional, persuasive communicators skilled in writing, message development, content creation and strategic planning. Students will graduate with the adaptability and critical thinking necessary for success in a wide range of industries and roles, including corporate communication, nonprofit outreach, media relations, event planning, content production and fundraising.
The third new offering, Social Influence and Digital Communication, focuses on the creation and performance of digital content for social media, with hands-on training in digital marketing, video production, and spoken word. The program encourages creative expression and critical thinking about the digital world, while supporting students in cultivating their own unique creative voices and preparing them to thrive in one of today’s fastest-moving fields.
Launching in Fall 2026, the Exercise Science major emphasizes physical activity as a preventative discipline for promoting muscular strength and endurance, cardiovascular health, flexibility and athletic performance. The program also examines the role of lifetime physical activity in disease prevention, healthy aging and quality of life. Students are prepared for careers related to health and wellness, physical fitness, sports conditioning and rehabilitation.
With these new additions, Spring Hill College reaffirms its commitment to preparing students for success in high-demand fields while maintaining a foundation in critical thinking, ethical leadership and service to others.
